Where to Drink in Ljubljana
Conveniently for you and the hens, all the best bars in this often underestimated city are compactly located in the city centre.
Metelkova is the answer for alternative hens who feel at home in an arty, boho establishment. Down by the River Ljubljanica, you'll find all the super scenic spots when you and the girls need a break from our awesome range of Ljubljana activities! Rest those weary hen legs in some of the outdoor seating that overlooks the calm waters below.
Around the Cathedral there also a whole host of bars serving hens in need of a palate tickling tipple! It's a hugely impressive place for a sweet-spot blend of culture and cocktails!

Sights
Sometimes a nice walk is all you need to wash away the aches and pains from the previous evening's excesses, and Ljubljana's gorgeous Tivoli Park is the perfect place to do just that. It's a real oasis of nature and visitors are often struck by how peaceful the park's atmosphere is. With winding paths and a sea of green grass all around it's easy to get lost here, and we're inclined to think that's a good thing.
Sounds
Ljubljana's youthful fashionistas all like to party at Klub Cirkus. This party-spot is a fiesta of good drinks, good music and good times. It's the biggest club in the city and you'll more than likely find yourselves throwing shapes on the dance floor well into the small hours.
Club Palatium is seriously funky and plays host to some of the city's best DJs as well as exciting up-and-coming music acts with not one, but two floors of partying madness!
Shopping in Ljubljana
Ljubljana is so done with communism, and the visually arresting fashion you'll see on the streets and indeed in stores totally reflects that. The girls in Slovenia have a real eye for style and they know a bargain when they see one - which is probably why this city is full of vintage stores. Retro-chic is in fashion across the mainland at the moment and if you're going to dress for the town, you need to give your wardrobe a blast from the past!
Divas Preloved - So, while this vintage shop doesn't have the greatest name, there's plenty of stylish tops and dresses from yesteryear on display that would look great in anybody's wardrobe, as well as designer goods at cut-prices!

Getting Around Ljubljana
Ljubljana deserves to be explored on foot, but we understand that a long day in the city, whether you're sightseeing or shopping can actually be seriously tiring! It's times like these where you'll want to make the most of Ljubljana's excellent bus network. Most buses start as early as 3:30am and finish as late as 10:30pm, and you can buy an Urbana card that'll store cash for quick use on the bus that'll save you from foraging for coins in your purses.
Although, soaring through the streets on a Public Bike makes for a great mode of transport too!

During the summer, the cafes and restaurants spread out onto the streets and stay open well into the early hours - the city's main square, Presernov Trg, is often still packed with revellers at 3am. When: The best times to visit Ljubljana
If you're after a golden suntan then head over in July and August, when the average temperature's a pleasant 25 degrees. Temperatures drop to -1̊c in December and January, so if you still want to visit in winter, be sure to bring your thermals! No matter what time of year you visit however, there's bound to be a festival or event on to please locals and visitors alike, whether that's the Wine Fair in February or the Shrovetide celebrations in March. Head over in May for the SKIS Market, where clubs from all over Slovenia gather to present their local food, drinks and sights, or in June for the Ljubljana Jazz Festival and some toe-tapping action. In July the Festival Ljubljana presents a great range of music and theatre, then later on in November the Ljubljana International Film Festival has some great screenings. Ljubljana is magical over December and Christmas - the Holiday Winter Fair provides stalls of Christmas gifts and foods, while the Old Town comes alive with festivities. Whichever month you and the girls head to the Slovenian city, you'll find something going on to make your weekend truly unforgettable.
