A Guide To Your Newquay Hen Weekend
Where to Drink in Newquay
After a day of surfing, you'll need a delicious beverage or two to take away the taste of seawater! Luckily, Newquay's got you covered.
Cornwall has our hearts, but it also has our cash as we can't resist the tempting tipples from the seafront bars. By the sea, you'll find sports bars or themed establishments, and being just a short walk into the centre, there's so much more to choose from.
You can relax outside on sunny evenings, or hunker down in a luxe wine bar or cosy Cornish pub. It's pure bliss for hens checking out the sizzling drinking scene - often referred to as the UK's answer to Ibiza.
Sights & Sounds
Sights - Newquay is known for its sunny beaches and the awesome surf, so you'd be forgiven for not knowing about the award-winning Zoological gardens. There are big, proud lions here as well as cheeky monkeys and the cutest penguins you'll ever see. A trip to the zoo is a great way to spend a rainy day and at the very least it'll distract you from any enduring hangovers!
Sounds - As well as its fantastic beaches, Newquay is also a fantastic party town - hidden away in sleepy Cornwall, the nightlife here is seriously buzzing. Berties certainly has the monopoly on BIG nights out on this part of the Cornish coast with lasers, smoke machines and the kind of good times that Newquay's famous for.
You might be able to visit a Walkabout in your home town, but when you've been on the beach all day, spending the night in a bar decked out like the set of I'm a Celeb somehow just feels right. Besides, the Aussie barmen are really cute!
What's on in Newquay
February - St. Ives Feast. Enjoy an intense game of Cornish hurling. We'll spare you the details, but just know it involves burly blokes fighting over a tiny silver ball...
August - Boardmasters. The UK's premier surf/music festival or as we like to call it, 'beach-hunk heaven'.
October - Halloween Zombie Crawl. If you're ready for a true coastal thriller then this is a fabulous spectacle!
November - Fireworks Night. There's something magical about spending November 5th watching pyrotechnics by the sea... at least there's plenty of water nearby if anything goes wrong!
Best Shopping Spots
Newquay fashion is all about dressing for the beach. This is possibly the most relaxed town on earth during the day, and the vintage shops you'll find in the winding backstreets are just as chilled-out.
Vintage Addiction - Whether you're searching for clothes, furniture or a few bits and bobs for the kitchen you'll find something to cherish in this wide collection of upscaled goods!
Where? Unit 6, Prow Park, Treloggan Industrial Estate, TR7 2SX
Smile Surf Shop - It doesn't matter whether you're planning on wobbling on the waves this weekend or just chilling with your best friends on a sunny beach, Smile has stylish seaside threads for your new beach babe vibe.
Where? 28 Fore Street, TR7 ILN
Watershed - Surfer chicks will love this shop/café on the Newquay high street selling beachwear and funky t-shirts that'll let you take a piece of the coast home with you.
Where? 3-5 Bank Street, TR7 1EP
Getting Around Newquay
This coastal town is relatively small, so if you need to get somewhere, more often than not using good old-fashioned leg power is the best way to do it! But if you're laden with shopping bags there's a bus network that'll take you close to where you need to be for the reasonable price of a ticket or bus pass.
Hen Days
While it's deceptively easy to spend your time on your Newquay hen do relaxing on the beach watching the ab-solutely amazing surfers walk by, you're on a hen-do, and that means activities! Get in the water yourself and go Surfing. Give Coasteering a go or ascend to all-new heights with Rock Climbing. If you're looking for girly giggles our Dominatrix Lesson and Life Drawing activities are sure to tickle more than a few ribs! Take a look at all our hen day activities...

Newquay hen party adventures...
Newquay is without doubt the surf capital of the UK, with a line-up of the world's best surfers riding in to the iconic Fistral Beach each year. So where better to unleash your inner wild child for some fun and frolics on the waves? Tame the Atlantic breakers and show 'em how it's done (or struggle to stand up and spend most of your time à la derrière - happens to the best of us!) with a couple of hilarious hours at a top surf session, or banish the effects of your big night out with an exhilarating turn on the zap cats. Kite-surfing has to be one of the coolest sports ever invented and a white-knuckle ribbing trip definitely won't be forgotten any time soon! If you fancy taking the party inland, then go-karting, zumba and musical mayhem are always good for a few giggles and when it's time to slow the pace a little, Newquay's bustling high street is the perfect spot to indulge in a little (or... a lot of?) retail therapy among the many high street stores, funky surf shops and independent boutiques. And Newquay's stunning coastal gems are perfect for a breath of fresh air between activities...
Cornish coastal delights...
Soak up the town's swashbuckling history with a lighthearted trip to meet Buccaneer Bay's very own Cap'n Jack (alas girls, no, not hat one. Sorry!), or get in your daily dose of exercise with a muscle-busting 200 step descent to Tolcarne Bay (the perfect excuse to indulge in some follow-up pampering perhaps?). The views across the Headland are simply stunning and if you're lucky you might even spot some of the dolphins and seals that visit the Harbour. And for a slice of Newquay hen do paradise, a trip to the tranquil Lusty Glaze offers sunset views you simply won't believe! If you get your timing right, you might even manage to catch the annual beach rugby or Lusty Balls tournaments in action! (dodgeball, in case you were wondering...)
