A Guide To Your Benidorm Hen Weekend

Where to Drink in Benidorm

Where to begin? Benidorm is a hotbed of hen-friendly bars where you can grab a drink once the day's activities are done. If you've come to Benidorm, it's safe to assume you've come to do some serious hen-partying! And you won't be disappointed, with 'the strip' offering wall-to-wall bars that promise a night's worth of fun. There's so much to do here, with cabaret bars and cocktail places, clubs, live music and drag shows. There's something to suit every hen in this area of Benidorm.

The best day-drinking spot is 'The Square' around Avenida Mallorca where you'll find chilled wine and tapas bars that throw open their doors every day to thirsty hens. Chill out all day here, if you like - you'll never run out of places to try your fav tipple!

Sights & Sounds

Sights - Aside from the golden beaches that have made this resort so popular for over half a century, Benidorm's stunning traditional fishing harbour is well worth a visit if not just to peek at the hunky (and often topless) señors working on the boats. Alternatively, you can get up, up and wahay at a Theme Park or go all out at sea on a Catamaran Cruise.

Sounds - Benidorm's uh-mazing nightlife isn't short of glitz and glamour with fabulous Cabaret Shows and some of Spain's most popular nightclubs. GoHen can even arrange Guestlist Entry so you won't have to lose any valuable dancing time or even the massive Smashed Bar Crawl that'll take you straight to the best watering holes in town.

Shopping in Benidorm

Benidorm has plenty of luxury shopping outlets for fashionistas. If shopping is your thing then you're in luck with some names you'll recognise from the high streets back home as well as a good selection of designer boutiques. It's also worth checking out some of the smaller alleyways and markets around the Passeig de la Carreterra, where you'll find artisan jewellery and leather goods.
The Old Town also has some quirky shops and has some great places to stop for a light tapas lunch.

Getting Around Benidorm

Blissfully Benidorm is all walkable, from the beaches to the hotels, bars to the restaurants, everything is in easy reach, even in new heels.
Getting into the resort is a slightly meandering bus journey (which will take a little time) or taxi's which can be a little pricey. Always agree a price before you get into a taxi and don't be afraid to haggle to get a good deal.
At GoHen we arrange airport transfers for all our groups to and from the airport to save you time and hassle and pre-booked transfers are by far the most cost-effective way to get into Benidorm.

Hen Days

From the moment you arrive, you'll be enjoying Benidorm finest asset, the fantastic weather. The resort thrives on its beach lifestyle and party-loving nightlife. During the day you can work on your tans in between a Cocktail Mixing Class or Catamaran Cruise. If you want to feel truly decadent you can opt for a Spa & Lunch Buffet or Yacht Charter.

Benidorm promises around 300 days of sunshine per year, so as long as you avoid the winter months, you'll be sure to get a suntan. Don't drink alcohol or get a BBQ going on Benidorm's beach – it is prohibited and could land you a whopping 750 euros fine! Drinking anywhere outside the confines of a bar, club, or restaurant is illegal.

Benidorm's nightlife is buzzing non-stop, so there's no doubt that you would be out and about in the late hours of the night. It's time for a hen party in Benidorm!

Famously party-mad and enviably drenched in sun, long gone are the days when Benidorm was little more than a sleepy fishing village on the Spanish coast. With glorious weather, fun-packed days, some of the glitziest and most fabulous nigthlife on the planet and miles of sandy blue flag beaches, Benidorm has everything you could possibly need for a carefree bash with the girls! In fact, between the jugs of sangria, breathtaking scenery, and unbeatable all-singing all-dancing party vibe, we can't think of a single box a hen weekend in Benidorm doesn't tick!

Why choose Benidorm?

Let's be honest, nothing says girls' weekend away like sun, sea and lashings of sangria, and having your bubbles served with a cheeky grin and smooth 'Hola, senorita' from a hunky Spanish barman isn't going to grow old any time soon! Benidorm really is hen party paradise! The balmy climate means you'll be celebrating in gorgeously sun-kissed style. The champagne greeting at your fab hen do apartment will have you feeling like a VIP before your feet have barely touched Spanish soil. And with a fantastic range of hen do activities in Benidorm to fill your days, and foam parties, discos and fresh tunes to fill your nights, a hen weekend in Benidorm has all the ingredients to roll a magical girls' summer holiday and unforgettable pre-wedding party into one fabulous bundle!

Benidorm hen do adventures...

Meander through the cobbled streets of Old Town, take a boat trip to stunning L'illa for a picnic in the park, or head to nearby Altea or Guadalest for a true taste of Spanish village life. Early birds can catch the magical sunrise over Levante's powdery sands, while a trip beyond Old Town to the curved beach at Poniente offers perfect views of the setting sun.

For the ultimate in sassy style, why not treat your fab bride-to-be to a luxury catamaran cruise through the Med? Lounge on deck with a glass of something cold, cool off with a dip in crystal waters and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch under clear blue skies. The sleek vessel even boasts on-board hammocks tempting you to lie back and relax in the cool summer breeze (once you manage to get in... really, how do people make it look so easy?!). If you're feeling daring and really want to get the adrenaline flowing then a 150ft drop at Spain's top theme park should blast the cobwebs in suitably white-knuckle style, and when it's time to unwind, the Roman hot pools at the region's most sumptuous spa will hit the right spot in utterly blissful fashion, leaving you feeling refreshed, recharged and ready for your big night on the town!

Shopping in Benidorm

It might not have the shopping kudos of some of its neighbouring capitals, but between quirky open air markets, quaint boutiques, beachside stores and the fantastic La Marina centre, there are more than enough options for you to satisfy any sudden urges to splash the cash on your hen do! Poniente has a great mix of cafés, restaurants and seafront shops to explore, and you're bound to find a bargain or two at the weekly Mercadillo de Benidorm (street market) just behind Levante. Passeig de la Carreterra is a fab hotspot for hitting some of Benidorm's bigger stores or finding hidden gems down the interconnecting alleys, and after a quick break to take in the panoramic view from the Balcon de Mediterraneo, why not wander over to Old Town, where you can dip in and out of the quirky boutiques before settling down to a delicious traditional lunch at one of the bustling pavement cafés?

Benidorm hen parties after dark...

When it comes to after-hours entertainment Benidorm's famously vibrant nightlife offers a fantastic collection of beachfront bars, friendly pubs, dazzling super-clubs, live music, foam parties, pool parties, karaoke and a never-ending happy hour that will see you strutting your stuff until dawn! Get the party started in lively fashion with a fab guided bar crawl, grab the girls, get dressed up to the nines and dance with lady luck in one of Benidorm's glitziest casinos, or indulge in a true feast of the senses with a deliciously tasty hen strip dinner (should we start booking now?!). And for an evening of fabulously outrageous entertainment, how about adding some hen night cabaret to your weekend? Bright lights, sequins, glitz, glamour and wine... it's what Benidorm hen parties were made for!

When's the best time to visit Benidorm?

Gorgeous weather, a stunning mountain backdrop, alluring golden sands and an incredible line-up of live entertainment mean it's always a good time to hop on a plane to whiter shores! Benidorm rocks all year long! Party with the locals at the Carnival in Feb, dance to the beat at the Low Cost Fest in July, and sing your heart out at the brilliant Song Festival in August, when the scenic Aiguera Park plays host to a dazzling array of concerts and spectacular fireworks displays. With a maze of cobbled streets, fantastic selection of activities and 24hr party lifestyle, a hen weekend in Benidorm promises a fantastic pre-nuptial bash all year round!
