Where to Drink in Torquay

When it comes to a hen party, Torquay is the place to be! Any seaside town is always a guarantee for huge laughs and watersport action, but Torquay offers something even better when the sun sets and the locals come out to party.

At weekends, Fleet Street comes alive as a hive of corner bars team up to create a fun and communal party atmosphere in the normally sleepy town. Before heading here, you might want to check out the mix of watering holes on the harbour for stunning views before it gets dark!

The best taste of Torquay is down the Park Lane passage where you’ll find two cosy pubs if you’re a fan of the well-loved local. The friendly staff will greet you as you settle down with a post-surf drink!

Sights & Sounds

Sights
We've all heard of the white cliffs of Dover, but have you heard of the red cliffs of Babbacombe bay? A walk along this bijou beach is a great way to clear any sore heads and if you make that extra effort to walk to the cliff top, there are some stunning bay views to be seen!

Sounds
Torquay's budding young professionals all like to party at Venue. This huge club is absolutely fabulous and you'll more often than not find yourselves on the dance floor until the early hours of the morning - don't forget your party feet!

Failing that, then you can always stay at Mambo's! We can't praise this place highly enough, and after a few No. 5's a late night boogie is always on the cards.

Best Shopping Spots

Torquay's fashion sense is hip, cool and certainly inspired by the bigger cities. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, if that's true then London, Bath and Bristol should feel very flattered indeed, because the fashionistas of this seaside town have taken their in-fashion looks and adopted them as their own.

Maggie & Co - Just on the waterfront is this stylish independent store selling all the top brands at prices that'll have you looking for the nearest Specsavers.

Fleet Walk - Torquay's main shopping centre is full of the usual suspects you'll find on the high street back home, but that doesn't mean that there aren't bargains to be found...
