Where to Drink in Dubrovnik

When it comes to variety, Dubrovnik takes home the crown with a huge range of different must-see drinking destinations. You'll find a spirit haven in a coastline cove, a wine bar in a shipwreck and a jazz club in the heart of Old Town. If you want to keep it bubbly and touristy, stick to Old Town where there's a luxe flux of ever-adapting bars to fit changing trends.

Don't miss the opportunity to try the local wines, since most of them will have been produced only a few miles away - you're in wine country, baby!

Escaping Old Town is a good shout for a more relaxed atmosphere and fewer people if you need a natter rather than a big night out.

Sights & Sounds

Sights - Dubrovnik is a massively historic city, but on your big weekend, it can be hard to find the time to explore all the rich culture that's out here. Luckily for you, a sunny stroll along the City Walls is a fantastic way to kill two birds with one stone, as you can see away any alcoholic aches and pains at the same time as exploring one of Dubrovnik's most stunning landmarks.

Sounds - Have you ever partied in a medieval fortress? Well now you can with a visit to Club Revelin. While this 16th century building used to protect the city from invaders, these days it welcomes them in to join one of the funkiest parties in Croatia.
If you're going to run into celebrities anywhere in Dubrovnik, it'll be Banje Beach Club. This amazing venue is one of the only places you can party with the backdrop of the ocean blue behind you, and with plenty of retro-chic artwork and neon lighting, it makes for a spectacular night on the tiles!

Shopping in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is an enchanting town, but it's also absolutely boiling in summer. The locals dress for the blistering heat by wearing loose, traditional dresses that blow nicely in the breeze. Fashion here isn't always about looking glamorous, and that's no bad thing. You'll never have to send your credit card into meltdown in this beautiful city, and more often than not you can find a stunning summer dress that'll work wonders on the hot summer days back in blighty.

Magnolika - Head to this chic and cheerful store to find cute bits of jewellery, snazzy t-shirts and other funky designer gems handmade in Croatia.
Where? Getaldiceva 7, Dubrovnik

Bacan Handmade - It's one thing to find handmade t-shirts and the like, but traditional Croatian wears range from the giggle-inducing to the frankly wonderful. This certainly isn't conventional by the UK's standards, but when they look this good, who gives a folk?
Where? Prijeko 6, Dubrovnik

Getting Around Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is one location you'll feel compelled to travel on foot, and by all means, you should. However, after a days shopping or sightseeing, the thought of having to walk all the way back to your accommodation from the seafront can seem a little daunting. That's when the city's fantastic bus network comes in real handy - you can even buy a Dubrovnik Pass that'll give you 24 hours, 3 days or 1 weeks worth of travel for a set fee, so you can save yourselves the hassle of rummaging for change!

Hen Days

There really is something for everyone in this fabulous city when it comes to unforgettable hen party activities. For thrill-seeking girls there's Paintballing and our fantastic Quad Biking Safari that'll see you take four-wheeled monster machines off-road in the ultimate test of driving skill. We've also got real stress-busters including our Pampering Day and luxurious Yacht Charter. See all hen do activities in Dubrovnik.

Hen Nights

Dubrovnik has some of the greatest nightlife in Croatia, the streets are always buzzing come sundown and the temperatures are often warm into the early hours of the morning, so you won't mind staying out too late we imagine! Enjoy a delicious meal in a Restaurant of your choosing to begin your evening of hen party frolics, before enjoying a bit of a flutter in a local Casino. End the night on a massive high with Guestlist Nightclubbing! See all hen do nightlife in Dubrovnik.

It's time for a hen party in Dubrovnik!

Facing out in to the Mediterranean Sea, Dubrovnik is the perfect choice for hens that fancy a seaside holiday with a difference! There's no squawking seagulls and grey skies here, instead hen parties making the two hour journey south get to enjoy clear sea, white sand, and one of the prettiest, yet most overlooked, cities in Europe. Well, pretty isn't quite the word, actually - stunning, striking, and absolutely spectacular do a much better job of describing the Croatian gem.

Why: Reasons to celebrate a Dubrovnik hen party

As Italy's lesser-known neighbour, historic Dubrovnik perches perilously on the edge of the Adriatic, with the warm blue seas of the Mediterranean stretching out before it. Quieter and less rammed with tourists than it's neighbour, a Dubrovnik hen party really is an opportunity to totally spoil yourselves and get away from the bustle and crowds of home and the city. This is a spectacular city and a perfect destination for any easy going hen party, where sunshine comes on tap!

Often referred to as the Pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik is a stunning destination with the perfect backdrop for your outdoor activities. Enjoy the mild climate and the stunning surroundings with a yacht charter, or put your foot down on our quad biking safari. Alternatively learn some angling skills with our deep sea fishing day, or stick to land with a healthy session of paintball! Whichever activities you pick you're guaranteed a great adventure, and if you're looking to just relax after a busy afternoon then our pampering sessions are the perfect way to unwind.

Shop: Dubrovnik shopping areas & recommendations

If you're looking to explore the shops in Dubrovnik, there are several great options to keep all your hens happy. Head to one of the great markets - Gundulić is our favourite and you can find it in the centre of the Old Town. Alternatively you could explore one of the big shopping malls like DOC or Mekante on your Dubrovnik hen party. There's also a selection of great shops to check out, such as the Vinoteka Dubrovnik, with over 250 different wines, and Dubrovnik House, both of which can be found in the Old Town. As well as shopping in this historic area you'll find all the main shops on Stradun, the best street for shopping. Here you'll find some excellent fashion stores, from foreign designers to local, unique pieces.

Stay: Choosing your Dubrovnik accommodation

The striking walled city of Dubrovnik is packed with hundreds of historic buildings and cobbled streets, making it the perfect place to stay for the weekend. That said, although the centre is packed with great sights and activities, the best Dubrovnik accommodation can be found just outside the city centre, a few minutes away from the city's beautiful gates. Around here we've got some excellent options, whether you fancy staying in a popular 3 star hotel, a luxurious 4 star or the ultimate 5 star. It's not every day you go on a hen weekend so why not let us sort you out with your perfect option- just check out our Dubrovnik hen do accommodation and get in touch today!

Party: Where Dubrovnik hen parties head after dark

Being one of the most attractive hen destinations in Europe, Dubrovnik is always a fun, lively place to be on a night out. The city centre is the main area for most of the party happenings in the city, with bars and pubs filling with partygoers as soon as the sun goes down. Placa Street (Stradun) is the main area for a customary explore of the bars and pubs on a Dubrovnik hen party, with many of the bars being small and cosy. What they may lack in size they more than make up for in atmosphere however, with all the best bars and clubs packed all evening. Although most of Dubrovnik's side streets and alleys have a few pubs and bars some are definitely better than others and our guided bar crawl will guarantee that you head to the most lively, personable places. Top this off with guest list nightclubbing at one of the city's best clubs and you've got a recipe for success! See all of our Dubrovnik hen night ideas.

When: The best times to visit Dubrovnik

From February's colourful parades to July's long Summer Festival and April's cultured Libertas Film Festival, Dubrovnik has fantastic events going on all year round. Other notable events include the Festival of St Blaise and the Carnival, which both take place in February. For literary fans the Dubrovnik Shakespeare Festival takes place at the end of April and the International Opera Festival then commences in June. In July there's the Dubrovnik Film Meeting and then in September you can tap your toes at the Dubrovnik International Early Music Festival and the International Choir Festival. The year then ends in style with the huge Dubrovnik Christmas Fair, when the Sponza Palace is transformed into an enchanting mock up of a Christmas village. No matter when you decide to visit this Croatian gem, you can be sure that you and the girls will have a great time on your weekend and this traditional city will always have something to keep you busy!
