Seeing the Northern Lights is one of those things that are on many people's bucket lists, and it's not hard to see why. Mother Nature's stunning light show is a strikingly beautiful natural phenomenon. We can't think of a more special way to celebrate the bride-to-be than witnessing the magic of the famous Northern Lights.

This three-hour tour will take you to all the places where the Northern Lights are most likely to be seen, where you can watch in amazement as rich colours flying across the sky in brilliant patterns. Your tour guides know the best spots to view the lights, and as weather conditions in Iceland are so dramatic and changeable, the locations will vary from day to day, to increase your chances of spotting Aurora Borealis.

Crisp, winter evenings, are the perfect time to head out the city centre and hunt for the magnificent natural wonder. The beautiful colours come to be when large explosions and electronic storms from the sun throw solar particles deep into space. These particles are caught by the Earth's magnetic fields and collide with the natural gases found in the Earth's atmosphere. This creates a colourful, dancing light show known as the Northern Lights, Polar Lights, or an Aurora.

Witnessing the Northern Lights painting the sky is as magical as it sounds, and the tour guides will do their absolute best to make sure you see them; however, the tour is weather dependent and sightings are not guaranteed. If you don't manage to see any lights during this tour, you'll still get the chance to see Iceland's beautiful landscape, and you can even join another tour, free of charge. So, what are you waiting for? Book this tour and make your main girl's big weekend one to remember.

Please note:

  • The Northern Lights in Iceland are visible during the winter months, from September to April.

Private tours are also available; however, you can't join another tour free of charge.
