If you’re looking at booking a hotel, there’s less urgency to get something sorted ASAP. Hotels generally have lots of availability and you’ll have hundreds of rooms to pick from.

A stunning hen party house in Bath, Brighton or another popular UK destination, however? It’s got one date free per weekend and… you guessed it… everyone wants the same one.

Same with our HenFest weekends and hen party glamping sites – those sunny Saturdays in summer are limited, so it’s first come, first served.

And, again, we’re not trying to scare you into booking tonight, but if you do find that DREAM accommodation – and it’s available on the dates you want it – you need to get it in the group chat ASAP and at least get those conversations started!! A lot of hen houses can lose their peak dates up-to a year in advance, so getting in early saves a lot of last-minute stress.

No Date Drama & Booking Without a Confirmed Guest List

If you’ve ever been in a GC with more than six people trying to plan anything, you’ll understand the below:

• “I can do the weekend before or after that one!”
• “I’m booked up the whole of May!”
• “I can do the 14th but not the 15th!”
• “What’s this for again?”

It’s enough to drive even the calmest Maid of Honour insane!

However, the earlier you throw out dates into the chat, the fewer excuses you give people to book up their 2027 calendar.

Yes, you’ll inevitably still get people dropping out closer to the time (in our experience, at least two people will drop out on average), but with GoHen that doesn’t even matter. However, if you pay your deposit now, you lock in this year’s price for 2027, and you don’t even have to pay the rest of your balance until 8 weeks before.

It does vary slightly depending on what you’re booking, so please check out our full article on how GoHen’s deposits and payments work, but generally you’ll be able to:

• Secure your hen do with one small deposit
• The rest of your group will need to pay their deposits within 4 weeks
• You don’t need to pay the rest of the balance until 8 weeks before your event
• Either split your payments into smaller manageable chunks
• Or pay in one instalment later on

Booking earlier simply means you have more pay days between now and your event, so you can spread the cost in a way that suits you.

Most importantly, the group all pay us directly, so you don’t have to spend your spare time chasing people or, worse, fronting the money yourself and trying to get people to pay you back.

Do I need to know my final group size to book?

No. You can book your weekend based on your expected maximum numbers. Your quote will show the minimum group size needed and, as long as you stay above that, your price won’t change even if a few people drop out.

Can I change my hen activities after booking?

In the majority of cases, you can amend your activities right up until 8 weeks before your event. This may vary with some one-off, ticketed events, so please speak to one of our team if you’re unsure.

Do hen party prices increase closer to the date?

Suppliers typically review their rates at the end of the year, so booking in advance of that locks in the price at the time of booking.
