Set in eight acres of private grounds and close to a smallholding farm (with chickens, plus a few cows and calves), this fantastic hen house with its open fire and private garden is a wonderfully idyllic escape to the country. Perfect to leave city living and the worries of wedding planning behind and give the bride-to-be a weekend to remember.
Just seven miles from the centre of the city, this can be your own Bristol hen weekend home away from home. There's parking for six cars fort the group's designated drivers and also a private garden with patio doors into the spacious lounge where all the hens can relax late into the night by the open fire. All the hens can muck in together in the spacious kitchen diner to prepare a hen feast, there's also a BBQ and seating in the patio area of the garden if you'd rather dine al fresco.
The six bedrooms are spread over the upper two floors with many overlooking fields and countryside. The upper most floor is an impressive loft conversion, with three bedrooms and all the bedrooms have wardrobes, lamps and drawers to make yourselves at home.
If you do need to get in provisions for your stay there's a selection of shops including a bakery, butchers, newsagents and supermarket farm shops all within a five-minute walk. If cooking really isn't your thing then there's also a choice of restaurants plus both Bath and Bristol are both within easy driving distance and are packed with amazing eateries, bars, cafes shops and some of the UK's best nightlife.
The rustic property is charming both inside and out with lots of well thought out details to make guests comfortable such as free WiFi (not all rural locations have great phone signals), satellite TV, a DVD player, range of DVDs and books. The kitchen has all the glasses, plates and utensils you could need along with a microwave, kettle and dishwasher so no pulling straws over who gets left with the washing up.
A great location, lovely property with great links to two fabulous party cities. What more could a hen weekend need?
