Hen parties, they're not all sipping tea talking about the wedding dress. Some hens like to kick ass and who better to shape the biggest weekend of the nearly-wed's life than Bear 'Yes-he-does-do-it-in-the-woods' Grylls.
The ultimate survivor, Bear isn't just everyone's favourite outdoors heartthrob (although he most certainly is) he's also quintessentially British, a little bit posh, a little bit eccentric, highly intelligent and tougher than red wine stains on a shag pile carpet.
But now Bear and his team have created the ultimate tough girl hen weekend that will make a stay on The Island look like a Bank holiday in Clacton. Hen parties will be climbing rocks, crossing gorges, building shelters and tucking into some of Bear's famous survival recipes (!?!). Have you got what it takes for Hen Party Mission Survive?
You won't be lost in a rain forest but you will be in the beautiful yet adventurous Brecon Beacons (training ground of the SAS) for this action packed 3 days of adventure. Your mission will start by rock climbing to find a spot to build your own shelter for the night before cooking an "interesting" dinner on the camp fire. Just a walk in the park?!?
"My favourite moments? Where it's all going swimmingly, the sun's out and I've got a fire going and a nice snake on the barbecue." - Bear Grylls
After a relaxing night sleeping out under your shelters you can warm yourselves by the fire before another life affirming climb. You'll have a quick pit-stop for lunch but it's all downhill from there... literally! You'll abseil into some caves for an exciting few hours underground before gorge walking back to camp, which is following a river down-stream and swimming, climbing, jumping off cliffs, whatever it takes to reach your destination.
The good news... Dinner will be spent in a bunk house.
The bad news... It's time to try some of Bear's favourite 'delicacies'.
"Being brave isn't about fear. Being brave is having that fear and finding a way through it." - Bear Grylls
Having made it this far you'll now face your final survival challenge, working as a team to build a raft to get the hen safely to the wedding. This probably isn't the type of wedding transport she had in mind but it's a wonderful team building test which requires some smart thinking, great teamwork and the willingness to get wet!
"You only get one chance at life and you have to grab it boldly."
- Bear Grylls
"I was always brought up to have a cup of tea at halfway up a rock face."
- Bear Grylls
