You wouldn't believe how many hens forget to discuss how they're actually going to get to their celebration.

Next thing you know, everyone's having awkward last-minute conversations about who's going to be the designated drivers and how much people owe you in petrol money...

No thanks!

Get organised early and take the stress out of the situation with GoHen's handy travel guide below.

Your Travel Options...

Car

Potentially the easiest option, particularly if you have a lot of luggage, a car share is a solid, cost-effective choice. However, there are some things to consider...

  • How far is it? You don't want to be driving 200-plus miles in one stint if you can avoid it. If it's a big distance, definitely consider the train or flying (or insure a couple of the girls on your car and take turns).
  • How much will it cost? Between a few of you, the petrol won't cost too much, but it might work out cheaper to hop on some public transport.
  • How hungover will you be? Look. You'll probably be having a few big nights out, but the night before you have to drive home, take it steady. Definitely consider buying a disposable breathalyser to make sure you're OK to drive the next day if you do drink.
  • Does your accommodation have parking? Be sure to check in advance if your accommodation has parking. If it doesn't, check out Parkopedia which will list a load of local parking spots nearby.
Trainline

Train

The train is a stress-free alternative to driving for many reasons...

  • It's a lot less effort and concentration
  • You don't have to worry about being hungover
  • You can even enjoy a cocktail on the way up

Minibus

A minibus is a cracking option if you're all departing from the same location.

It's also a great way to get everyone pumped and ready to party as you'll all be under the same roof rather than split up across multiple cars.

Coach

If you have the option, coach travel is a super cheap way of getting to your destination.

The more you save on travel, the more money you'll have for the booze kitty.

Flights

If you're travelling from one end of the country to the other, definitely consider flying.

It's quicker. It's cheaper. It's a lot easier than driving 400 miles.
