Food in Rome

Best Bites

Yeah! - Do you love retro-chic surroundings? Do you love the vintage sounds of 80s music? Does the smell of authentic Italian Panini's get your stomach rumbling? If the answer to all of these questions is 'Yeah' then this is the perfect place for a quick lunch if you can resist spending longer than is really necessary in this kooky café.
Where? Via Giovanni de Agostin 45, Rome

Pizzarium - After an evening where you've been living it large Italian style, you could find yourselves with a sore head when it comes to lunchtime the next day. The solution? Head to the best pizza place in Rome for the most delicious Italian meal that GoHen's ever tried - that's ordini del dottore! (Doctor's orders).
Where? Via della Meloria 43, Rome

Sights & Sounds

Sights and Sounds in RomeWho knew that old ruins could be so beautiful? Rome is full of them, and the remains of the Roman Forum, less well known they may be, could be the prettiest of them all. A walk around this serene location makes for the perfect stress-buster, and it's a great way to get cultured on your big weekend in this stunning, historical city. At the very least there are great selfie opportunities to be had!

Rome's bright young things are all looking for a good time after they leave work on a Friday evening, and more often than not they'll all convene in Shari Vari. Decadence and luxury are the order of the day is this French-chic club and everybody looks as if they've walked straight from a cover shoot for Vogue magazine.
Vicious is definitely a club for a tattooed bride-to-be. It's deep, dark and heavy atmosphere amidst Italy's finest electronica is reminiscent of the grungiest of Berlin nights, and GoHen absolutely loves it.

What's on in Rome

In the Diary

March - Festi di Santa Francesa Romana. We're all guilty of being a little too precious when it comes to our motors, but in this festival the locals take their cars to the church of Santa Francesa Romana to have them blessed?!?
April - Natale di Roma. Happy Birthday Rome! Celebrate the city's special day with the locals at the Campidoglio and a frankly ridiculous amount of pyrotechnics.
June - Fiesta. Latin-America brings the party to the Italian capital - it's the ultimate summer street party!
September - Enzimi. All of Rome's up and coming artists perform in this exciting music, theatre and arts festival - best of all, it's totally free.
