No matter when you're thinking of visiting Liverpool, it's not just one of the best cities in the country for a hen do - the stats suggest that Liverpool is one of the best cities in Europe for a weekend away with the girls! As a UNESCO European Capital of Culture and with Trip Advisor naming it the best nightlife city in the country, it's clear to see that Liverpool has a lot going for it, whether that's the brilliant shopping, the phenomenal nightlife, or the legendary music scene.

The nearly-wed and her party can be sure of a great time in Liverpool. TripAdvisor certainly weren't wrong, it's a fantastic city to party with a really diverse and sophisticated nightlife. Liverpudlians are also renowned for their humour and top comedy clubs, so you can share some laughs and a drink or two. If you're going shopping in Liverpool then you'll be spoilt for choice, the retail scene is world class and you and the girls can shop till you drop! Check out Liverpool One, a shiny designer shopping centre that has more than 160 high street names from John Lewis to Topshop and Apple to Cath Kidston. You should also pay a visit to the exclusive Metquarter, where there's some great fashion and beauty outlets such as MAC and Molton Brown as well as designers like Tommy Hilfiger. If you're after top line fashion then pop over to the Cavern Walks, home to the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Cricket (favourite to the Liverpool WAGs). If you fancy heading further afield then Lord Street in Southport has an elegant parade of Victorian arcades and boutiques.
