Star Bars

Bars in Norwich

The Last Wine Bar - While we desperately hope that the name of this stylish bar and brasserie isn't true, if it were, it certainly wouldn't be the end of the world. With a wine list featuring over 100 different varieties, this could be the perfect place to mix the girls with a little bit of grape.
Where? 76 St. George's Street, NR3 1AB

The Birdcage - This is one cage that we're sure the hens won't mind being trapped in. This incredibly cosmopolitan bar is friendly, artsy and effortlessly sleek. All of Norwich's trendy twenty-something's relax here, and you're even allowed to bring your own fish and chips - sorted!
Where? 23 Pottergate, NR2 1DS

The Fat Cat Brewery Tap - The Fat Cat is a welcoming pub that's dressed to the nines in colour and quirky décor. It's almost impossible to avoid falling in love with this charming venue, and with a selection of independent beers and wines on offer; you'll probably end up head-over-heels for the drinks as well.
Where? 100 Lawson Road, NR3 4LF

Food in Norwich

Best Bites

The Library - This spectacular eatery is proof of GoHen's philosophy that money doesn't always equal quality - as The Library is cheap as chips and absolutely gorgeous. It's set in an old Victorian library, and while you can't take any of the books out, you can help yourself to one of Norwich's best value burgers. This is hangover food in seriously sophisticated surroundings.
Where? 4 Guildhall Hill, NR2 1JH

Baby Buddha Tea House - Baby Buddha provide so much more than just another place to put your feet up after a long day of shopping. The ‘Dim-Sum' cuisine they offer is slightly unusual, but once you've got a taste for it, you simply won't be able to have enough!
Where? 139 Ber Street, NR1 3EY

Sights & Sounds

Sights
Sights and Sounds in NorwichChildren of the 90's might remember the film The Secret Garden and on your hen-do, you'll discover one for yourselves! Plantation Garden is a wonderful natural space that's stood for over 100 years in an abandoned quarry. This is a tranquil safe-haven away from the hustle and bustle of city living, and seeing as it's centrally located, any hens still feeling the previous evening's excesses can rest assured that sun-lit relaxation is never too far away (depending on the weather!).

Sounds
If you're looking for a club from the future then stop searching because you've found it! Wonderland is a seriously high-tech party spot that looks as if it was designed by the Mad Hatter, in a good way. This is one rabbit hole we certainly recommend you fall down...just don't refer to the bouncers as Tweedledum and Tweedledee!
Mantra is often the club of choice for Norwich's glitterati and local celebrities. The fabulous oriental-chic décor is a stylish touch, and when the night gets going, the party atmosphere is simply palpable.

Norwich hen party adventures...

As Norwich's own Mother Hen herself would tell you, not only is variety the spice of life, but it's all about enjoying ‘everything in moderation', ladies!  And between the beautiful East Anglian countryside and cobbled city streets bursting with swanky stores, restaurants and bars, hen weekends in Norwich can be as moderate, indulgent and fancy free as you want!

Work on those spaghetti arms, wiggle your hips and learn some sexy new moves at a top dance session, or grab the girls, get into line and work it like Beyoncé with some pop party mayhem!  Norwich proudly stands tall as England's first designated UNESCO city of literature, so why not get into the cultural groove with a cheeky life drawing class?  (we're sure we'd have paid more attention if art had been taught like that at school!).  If it's time to wake everybody up in true ‘GI Jane girl-power' style, then some go-karting, paintball and action on the high ropes should do the trick!  Then lie back, relax and refresh aching bodies with some heavenly pampering at a top spa.  And maybe treat yourself to a manicure afterwards (everything in moderation, after all..)
