Sights & Sounds
It's not every day you get to see castle ruins that were once the welsh equivalent of 'Winterfell' from Game of Thrones - that's exactly what you'll find if you make the trek to Dinas Bran, or 'Crows Castle' as it's more commonly known. This can be a bit of a hike, but on a sunny day it's a hugely enjoyable walk with some stunning views of Llangollen beneath you - and let's be honest, no Thrones fan is going to be able to resist roaring 'winter is coming' at the top of their lungs when they reach the ruins!
Llangollen's bubbly young professionals all enjoy kicking back and relaxing in The Sun. This pub features live music most nights, and we're tempted to say that this fun venue is Llangollen's best kept secret. Evenings here always seem to carry on until late, and this spirited pub is always full of laughter once the music's started - plus men from the countryside can be seriously dishy, just look at Matt Baker...

May - Focus Wales. 'The hills valleys are alive with the sound of music'. Wales has some of the greatest emerging talents in music at the moment, and this is your chance to see them live before they hit the big time!

There's a vintage craze sweeping Wales at the moment, and it's certainly reached Llangollen. This quiet town is full of twenty-something's that look as if they've gone into their parent's lofts to dig out the best bits of fashion they can find from the 70's, 80's and 90's to create a unique look for them. This style is seriously cool, and best of all, it's astoundingly cheap. It's time to jump aboard the second-hand hype train hens!

Girls About Town - Getting around Llangollen...
Llangollen is rather petite as a town, so you'll probably do most of your exploring via the cost-effective medium of walking! However, for those moments where you just can't be bothered, there's a bus network that'll take you where you need to go. If you fancy visiting Wrexham or any of the other surrounding towns there are buses in and out of Llangollen as well!
So what exactly does a hen party get up to in Llangollen? Well, girls who consider themselves thrill-seekers will be happy, because this part of the world is famous for the kind of white-knuckle action that'd make even the most macho blokes squeal.
