North East
Cherry Cakes
From TV’s Real Housewives of Cheshire to your wedding table, Cherry Cakes have become one of the most in-demand bakers in the North East and quite rightly so. Bold designs, fantastic use of colours and some of the most wonderful, delicate sugar work, we want to attend more weddings just to sample and view more Cherry Cakes!

The Designer Cake Company
Former ballerina turned non-calorie counter (calories don’t count in wedding cakes anyway), Isabelle continues to shine. Not her first appearance in our Top 50, once again she brings her special brand of fun with her playful fancies and lavish dessert tables. We’re still praying she’ll invite us on a picnic one day! An outstanding baking talent.
Mrs BouCake
With a wonderfully exciting array of flavours including pina colada, Guinness and chocolate, Toblerone, apple crumble and even Jammy Dodger, Mrs BouCake is a creative tour de force. Spiralling cupcake towers, cupcake bouquets, teetering teapots, whether you want rustic, playful or timeless they’ll design the cake for you.
Chocomoo Cakes
Award winner, designer, baking teacher and all-round bad influence, the lovely Cheryl makes baking look so darn easy and taste too darn good. Hers aren’t merely cakes to marvel at and take Instagram snaps of, they taste so, sooo good that yes, you’ll be watching those around, hoping to finish theirs, and still be hoping for a goodie bag to take home.
Dreamworld Cakes
Located in the family-run patisserie in the trendy Ouseburn area of Newcastle, this award-winning team have a real passion for creating something just that little bit special. And boy do they deliver. Thanks to the creative mind and incredibly talented hands of chief designer Bernadett, their elegant, understated cakes will wow any wedding gathering.
