The city also has quite a vibrant and lively burlesque scene which is pretty spectacular and often a hilarious night of sizzling and sexy entertainment.
Some of the most successful musicals of all time began on Broadway (the U.S. equivalent of London’s West End), as well as many of the huge London shows crossing the pond. It is without doubt one of the most exciting places to watch live theatre and many of the stages and theatres are larger than their London counterparts allowing for even more lavish productions.

Head to Le Bain at the Standard Hotel or Bar Hugo above the Hugo hotel are among the many hotel bars that offer simply spectacular views over the city and across the river. The Manhattan Bridge is another site that completely transforms at night.
If you wan to go upmarket for your night out and join the real elite then Manhattan is where it’s at. This swanky island is the home of the money district and has always had a fancy reputation. Cocktail bars, champagne lounges, exclusive hotels and restaurants, Manhattan is most definitely where the money is but it’s also a great destination for tourists and weekend visitors.
New York is home to some of the finest restaurants in the world, including 6 Michelin starred restaurants. However the charm of New York means a trip to a deli or diner can be as much of an experience.
The city certainly has one of the most diverse selections of restaurants on the planet with themes and cuisines from all over the world. There really is something for everyone.
