bluebellBluebell Vineyard – Bluebells create “vintage” wines (which means wines made from grapes all grown in the same year). They are all multi award winners having picked up a hatful of regional and national awards. Their website gives handy hints letting you know which of their fine wines would best suit which course.
Not only are the situated in one of the most idyllic and picturesque parts of Sussex but they’re also jolly friendly and you can contact them to look into ordering your wedding wine direct from the vineyard. It doesn’t get better than that.

SedlescombeSeddlescombe Vineyards – Hold onto your hats because not only will you find fantastic bottles of award winning fizz (sparkling wine), whites, reds and rose wines… not only do they also produce liqueurs, ciders and fruit wines as well… its not just that you can get a tour of the vineyard and take home a taster pack to sample at your leisure… The fact that their wines are organic and still unbelievably good. We’re even casually skipping past the online ordering and delivery service. But if you do go for a visit (and when picking your wedding wine you really should!) they also do cream teas! Who thought wine tasting could get more exciting?!?

bolney wine estateBolney Wine Estate – Thanks to a local relative this lucky writer has popped into the Bolney Vineyard Café on numerous occasions an I can heartily recommend it, not just for the food or speciality teas (which are both excellent) but for the fact that you can try their wines by the glass to decide which bottle/s to take home (for me its usually been plural). Their award winning produce is well worth a trip to Bolney where you can talk to their team about your wedding to make sure your guests’ cup’s runneth over with excellent wine.

nyetimberNyetimber – Nyetimber estate dates back to the Doomsday book (1086) but the first vines weren’t planted until around 900 years later… Well you can rush these things but in our humble opinion the good folks at Nyetimber seem to have got their timing spot on. However it’s not our opinion that counts although judging by the large number of awards and places you will spot Nyetimber, Ascot and in the hands of notable luminaries such as Tracey Emin, cast members from Game of Thrones, Kirstie Allsopp and no less than wine boff Bo Jo himself! If it’s good enough for Boris Johnson…
