The Big Five Kenyan Adventure could see the bride-to-be and her party sitting in a lodge, with glasses of wine in their hands as they take in the breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro.
This is Kenya at its most spectacular and for one week it could be the perfect tonic for the bride after weeks of wedding planning.
Our tailor-made Kenya package takes in the splendour of the incredible Kenyan landscape as you head in search of The Big Five (African lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, African Leopard and white/black rhinoceros). At times travelling in open-sided vehicles you’ll visit Kenya’s most famous national parks, get up close and personal with some of its most celebrated residents and meet the people to experience their culture.
Over the course of your safari you'll visit;
On arrival to Nairobi you’ll be met at the airport by your tour leader and your driver/guide who will take you to your camp lodge in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Lunch will be served before time for a siesta or to take a look at your surroundings before an afternoon spent out in the reserve viewing the wildlife. Dinner will be served back at the lodge.
After a (very) early morning breakfast you’ll spend a full day in the reserve. Travelling with a picnic lunch, your party will take a game drive with a further option to visit a Masai village (there will be an added fee which is shared with the local villages). Dinner will again be served at your lodge as you discuss the day’s sightings.
Another early morning breakfast before you head to the Lake Nkuru National Park in time for lunch at a new camp. After lunch you’ll spend more precious time in the bush in order to catch sightings of the "locals". The evening meal will be served at your lodge.
By now you’ll be early risers, this is of course the coolest part of the day and perfect time to travel on to Amboseli with a picnic lunch. Cameras will be at the ready again in the afternoon to record more incredible memories within this national park. Dinner served in your camp/lodge.
Early mornings are also the perfect time to get even closer to nature so you’ll take a game drive on route to Tsavo arriving in time for lunch. Once refreshed and rested you’ll head back out into the brush of one of Kenya’s most spectacular reserves. Dinner and overnight in your lodge.
The setting of the Michael Douglas movie The Ghost in the Darkness which is based on the true story of two African lions, Tsavo is thankfully rich in wildlife giving you a greater chance of capturing the big five in your lense. The evening will be spent with dinner at your lodge.
