Nottingham's nightlife is spread across the city, rather than being clumped in particular streets or districts. While this can make it a little hard for visitors to know where to go, it's great for stumbling upon surprising treats and hidden gems. However, if you want a little direction, many of Nottingham's best nightclubs are found in the area around Upper Parliament Street - St James Street and Friar Lane in particular. The Lace Market has lots of metropolitan pubs, trendy restaurants, and quaint, chic little bistros and cafes. Getting Around Nottingham

While there are trams and buses available, and offering a good coverage of the city, it's generally very easy to get around Nottingham on foot. Not all of the buses give change, so if you do decide to hop on make sure you've got the right amount. There are taxis, good for travelling in large groups or if you're staying a little bit outside the centre, but it's definitely worth booking in advance, rather than relying on finding an available cab in the city.
