Your guide to hen nights in Blackpool

For the best time on your Blackpool hen night, you only need to head in one direction - straight towards the promenade! Along the area known as the 'Golden Mile', there is 24-hour excitement and entertainment for hens. By day, visit Blackpool's infamous Pleasure Beach, home to the biggest rollercoaster in the United Kingdom. For those who prefer their fun a little less hair-raising, there are also waxworks, aquariums, and more seaside rides and stalls than you could possibly imagine - not forgetting, of course, the beautiful beach itself! At night, visit one of the promenades many nightclubs and bars, or stop to take a look at the glorious Blackpool Illuminations. For other breath taking night time sights, try the Blackpool Tower. This iconic building is often open until 9pm, and offers unparalleled panoramic views of Blackpool Seafront.

Getting Around Blackpool

Because Blackpool's Golden Mile is... well, just a little over a mile long, you should be able to get where you need to go by foot. However, if you want to see a little more of what Blackpool has to offer, or have exhausted yourselves dancing, there are plenty of other options. Tram or bus services cover the city, and there are plenty of taxis available in the early hours of the morning. Horse-drawn landaus are a possibility too, for a more atmospheric journey along the seafront. We offer fantastic hotels close to the seafront and with stunning views of the Blackpool coastline. Since the accommodation is so conveniently located, you'll be able to walk straight from bar to bed, even in heels.

Boogie Down in Blackpool

With so many clubbing options available, knowing where to start can be a little daunting. Many of the best and most popular are along the promenade and offer both local and celebrity DJs and have some fantastic options available for hens. Head to Blackpool's super club which can host 5000 clubbers at once, so head here if you're looking for a really electrifying party vibe. If your group is feeling a little nostalgic, aim for the promenade which hosts clubs playing 70's or 80's themed boogie. Blackpool also has options for those hens less into the classic club scene, including live music and many different genres.

Blackpool Bevvies

You really are spoilt for choice when it comes to Blackpool bars. Stop at trendy Scrooges Wine Bar for a more sophisticated start to the evening or if you fancy something a bit more exotic, try Arriba for a truly Mediterranean experience, or visit the Che Bar, which captures the feeling of the famous Rio Carnival. For a laid back atmosphere, try the Dutton Arms or the Boardwalk. If you prefer your ales local and your bands live, look no further than the Blue Room. Nellie Deans is worth mentioning for any musical hens - their karaoke and cabaret is easily the best in Blackpool.

Blackpool Bites

As a seaside town, seafood is really where it's at in Blackpool. For traditional, British fish and chips, Harry Ramsden's on the promenade is the place to go. For something more experimental, try Seniors Fish Bar and Restaurant - in addition to its classic seafood, it also offers vegetarian and non-fish dishes. If you wish to go high-end, check out the Seafood Restaurant, where you can feast on the finest lobster and oysters Blackpool has to offer. Don't worry if seafood isn't your thing - Blackpool has options for every diner. The town centre is bursting with Chinese, Indian, Thai and Italian culinary delights. The brand new afro-Caribbean Lagoonda on Queen Street is a great place to start, and both Clifton Street and Church Street are bursting with diverse ethnic dishes to satisfy every party. And don't forget, if you want to leave all the hard work to someone else, just ask GoHen! We can arrange set meals in local restaurants, so you can be sure of the best value for your money.
