Valentino designs Anne Hathaway wedding dress
Top designer Valentino Garavani has revealed he’s recently designed Anne Hathaway’s wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to Adam Shulman. She’s previously been keeping the wedding plans under-wraps so this new development has us fishing for more info …
Anne had previously insisted that she’s not doing any wedding celebrations yet, saying “We’re getting married, probably sometime next year-ish. Not this year, it’s too big with two films coming out. I haven’t started planning yet. I was filming ‘Les Mis’ when we decided to do it and there was no way I could think about anything wedding-related with my head in the space it was in then. I’ve been so busy since then, I’ve not even decided what sort of ceremony I want.” It seems though that the planning’s been moved forward now that The Dark Knight Rises has been released and she’s finally got some spare time to be fitted for a gorgeous Valentino gown.
The 80-year-old designer legend was honoured Thursday night at the New York City Ballet’s fall gala. At the gala he told E!News that he “did the dress” for Anne’s nuptials, before sharing some more information on the actress: “She’s a very good friend of mine,” he gushed, “Oh yes, she’s like my daughter! She’s sensational. She’s fantastic. She’s a girl that… she deserves what she has in this life. (That) means, she’s already a great star. But she’s going to be a great, great, great, great thousand times great star. She has all the qualities.”
“And wait until you hear her voice!” He continued, “She’s amazing.” Here he’s referring to her upcoming film with Hugh Jackman, Les Misérables, which is out on Christmas day.
The design of the dress isn’t yet publicly known but we’d bet it’s stunning! Other stars who are fans of Valentino include Emma Watson, Kristen Bell, Claire Danes, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis as well as loads of others. He’s truly a genius, and we know she’ll look stunning!
