Annie Lennox and Dr Mitch Besser tie the knot!

Superstar singer Annie Lennox tied the knot the other day with the lovely Mitch Besser (who happens to be a doctor, sounds like a keeper to us!) Her hubby is also a big charity boss, having run an Aids awareness charity called Mothers2Mothers which Annie was working alongside, before the two fell head over heels for each other!

Their wedding was a beautiful affair on a boat over the River Thames. She wore a white floor-length dress with a 1920’s headpiece and her model daughter Tali was a bridesmaid (before heading over to London Fashion Week!) 150 guests attended and they were treated to finger food served by a silver service catering team, including pieces of sashimi and mini road puddings. There were a number of champagne cocktails given to guests on arrival as well as a free bar where professional cocktail mixers were on hand to create exotic drinks on request.

Annie deserved a serene, gorgeous wedding after performing at both the Queen’s diamond jubilee concert as well as the closing ceremony of the London Olympic Games. She saved her voice and hit the dance floor at her wedding, dancing to some classic 80s tunes. A guest at the wedding told the Daily Mail, “It was just a really relaxed, friendly occasion- everyone seemed happy, especially Annie who was beaming.”

We wish Annie and Mitch all the best and a long and happy future together!

And good news! If you want an Annie-Lennox style hen do then we can plan it all for you – including a boat trip down the River Thames, making exotic drinks with cocktail mixing and a whole lot of dirty dancing! Have a wonderful time!
