Natalie Portman enjoys a wedding in the dark!

Exciting news – Natalie Portman tied the knot just a few short days ago to French dancer Benjamin Millepied! She got married in a private residence in Big Sur, California, which is surrounded by gorgeous greenery and is near the blue California coastline. The wedding took place under a chuppah and was held at 8pm – in the dark! A top lighting company took care of illuminating the night time nuptials and an ethereal pathway was built leading up to the chuppah – truly romantic.

The pair decided to have a relatively low-key starlit wedding and invited close friends and family to celebrate with them. Celebrity wedding planner Colin Cowie said “this is the most personal way to have an event. If your home is big enough to accommodate that many guests, all the better. It’s so intimate to have it in your garden. It’s more relaxed without that ballroom feeling.”

It’s only been a few weeks since Magic Mike star Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves got married in their Austin residence, and Drew Barrymore also tied the knot at home in her $5.7 million California home. Equally Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon married her agent Jim Toth last year at her California ranch.

The love is all around!
