What the celebs do for their hen parties
The world of celeb has seen some pretty OTT hen parties, but despite the glitz we’re not jealous – a fab evening with our favourite girls beats fancy hotel trips and luxury Mexican resorts any day (yes really!).
Pulling in top of the pile is Kate Moss who decided than instead of a traditional glam weekend she would ship 30 friends over to the Isle of Wight Festival in a huge pink Hummer while a helicopter flew in 300 bottles of booze (we’re still not jealous… honestly…).
Jodie Kidd leads the way in the culture stakes, she took her sister Jemma and a gang of girlfriends over to Marrakech for a weekend break. Britney Spears headed to Santa Monica where she partied with her friends while K-Fed partied across the street, ending up with the two groups of friends (and Brit and K-Fed) predictably hooking up at the end. Katie Price didn’t cause us any surprise at all with her hen do – she watched a male strip show and drank cocktails before being presented with a Barbie Girl wedding cake.
Rihanna organised Katie Perry’s hen party in Las Vegas – she hired Cirque du Soleil in keeping with the international theme of Katie’s wedding (which she had in India). The next morning the singer tweeted “signing up for a liver transplant now…”.
Kate Middleton had a low-key affair, non-surprisingly, and had a private party in the home of a friend organised by MoH Pippa. Not all of her busy friends could make it however so she apparently spread out the hen celebrations for a few days. In contrast Nicole Richie celebrated in Mexico with a Bride-to-Be sash and a willy necklace, before spending the next day sunbathing to get rid of the hangover.
The bottom line of it girls is that although the celebs seem to have a lot of fun on their hen weekends, they’re also footing £3000-a-head bills and we can have exactly the same amount of fun (if not more) on a budget by getting our organised heads on and planning well – check out GoHen’s amazing hen destinations and hen party activities.
