Hen party cycles from London to Paris…

In a fit of madness and bravery, hen Laura Boyd and friends decided that the only way to celebrate Laura’s hen party in style was to cycle from London to Paris over a pre-wedding weekend. Dressed appropriately in a helmet, veil and string of garlic, the group managed to make it 20 miles before realising that they hadn’t checked their tyres. “I was having real problems with my handlebar grips and my tires” Laura told, “To be honest; we hadn’t pumped them up before we set off.” Laughing in the face of danger didn’t quite pay off this time however and various members of the group found their tyres getting flatter and flatter.

They had left Marble Arch in London that Saturday morning and over the course of the weekend were planning to finish at the Arc de Triomphe. Once in Redhill, Surrey, Laura could no longer ride with her handlebar grips flapping off and tyres as flat as pancakes. Luckily the group spotted a shop called C&N cycles, where the staff were only too happy to help, and for free. “Given it was her hen weekend, we were delighted to lend a hand – I hope the wedding was a success!” one member of staff enthused. Despite this, they recommended that Laura should have had a road bike and not a mountain bike, but managed to patch the bike up well. They got the group back en route to Newhaven and Laura would “just like to say thank you” to the cycling company that kept her hen party on track and made the weekend a success. They arrived at the Arc de Triomphe as planned and Laura had a beautiful wedding on Saturday.
