Don’t let the bad weather dampen your spirits in Newcastle!

In the last few days Newcastle has been hit with terrible thunder storms and torrential rain. So much so that many areas have become flooded and turned into rivers! The worst of it cascaded down Newcastle’s Dean Street and Castle Stairs down towards the Tyne river.

The flood also caused the regions biggest shopping centre in Gateshead to evacuate and close as well as Eldon Square and Hoppings Fair in Newcastle. Even the metros were at a stand still due to the flooding and most train services were suspended.

But one big shock was the massive lightning bolt that hit the city and in particular the Tyne Bridge whilst lots of traffic were stationary on the bridge.

But don’t worry, things are looking brighter for the weekend and if you have a Newcastle hen weekend planned you shouldn’t be affected.

Have a great weekend!
