Summer Weddings and Celebrity Engagements

The summer is fast approaching and the sound of wedding bells will be heard all across the land. As well as weddings, engagements are also being announced just as often. The biggest engagements news hitting all the newspapers at the moment is between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The happy couple have finally got engaged after they got close during the film, Mr and Mrs Smith. It’s thought that the couple will get married in the grounds of their South of France home which they have spent time renovating.

Also, due to get married is Shane Warne and Liz Hurley. The couple got engaged during the end of September last year after being together for 10 months. Shane Warne proposed during a meal at St Andrews Golf Club in Scotland. It wasn’t a private affair as it was during a VIP evening at the home of golf.

As you can imagine, any celebrity wedding is going to be very extravagant as are their engagement rings. Here are the top five most expensive celebrity engagement rings

5 – Kim Kardashian – her 20 carrot ring cost a nice $2 million
4 – Mariah Carey – her ring included 59 diamonds and cost $2 million
3 – Donald Trump –his fiancée’s ring was 15 carrot and cost $3 million
2 – Paris Hilton – her ring was also 15 carrot but cost a cool $4.7 million
