chester zoo hen do in chester
Animal lovers will go crackers for this fantastic day and a chance to get up close and personal with over 12,000 different species including some of the world's most endangered species. Chester Zoo is the UK's largest zoo and also the first to be built without cages and bars.
You'll find furry critters of all shapes and sizes as well as more scary wee beasties. From Asian elephants and black rhinos down to a tropical realm and butterfly house (where you actually walk through the exhibit) there is so much to explore at this award winning attraction which is the UK's No.1 zoo and rated the 6th best in the world according to Trip Advisor.
Chester Zoo is playing a big role in helping to protect threatened habitats with field conservation and education. It's biggest mission is in conservation breeding, working with other zoos around the world to generate captive breeding and release programs to help increase animal numbers in the wild.
You certainly won't go hungry! You can keep the hens well fed and watered with a South East Asian street kitchen, restaurant, BBQ cafe, ice cream parlour, coffee shop, pub and kiosks dotted around the zoo. There's also a rather nice beer garden to enjoy the sunshine and listen to the incredible noises (we're referring to the animals, not the hens).
Nature Reserve & Gardens
In total the site covers 100 acres with the recent addition of the wild nature reserve which has been constructed to help encourage native wildlife to flourish. The zoo also has amazing gardens for you to rest and relax after a little too much monkey business the night before.
